Description
The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for processing electronic billing of medical claims. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Billing: Electronic transmission of insurance; hard-copy claims, patient statements.
  • Account Aging: "Work" aged accounts by re-billing, contacting insurance and/or patients, applying appropriate adjustments.
  • Claims Denials: Correct billing rejections; adjust accounts to reflect insurance terminations and/or effective dates.
Education and Experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a medical biller is required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are required.
Hours
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday
