Position Summary

As an Assembly Operator II, you will play a critical role in building and verifying the electronic and electromechanical systems that support mission-critical operations. Your hands-on expertise helps ensure that every component and assembly is built accurately, tested properly, and meets the rigorous quality and performance standards required for products trusted in the field.
This role is ideal for an experienced assembly professional who takes pride in precision workmanship, enjoys solving technical problems, and understands that quality at the manufacturing level directly impacts mission readiness and reliability. You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver products that perform when they matter most.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies using a variety of hand tools and productionized semi-automatic assembly equipment.

• Perform basic soldering and use go/no-go gauges to verify assembly requirements.

• Perform operator verification (OV) and accurately document and report results.

• Follow detailed work instructions and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and other technical documentation as required.

• Work independently within established procedures and exercise sound judgment to identify and address assembly issues.

• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to provide technical feedback, troubleshoot issues, and support successful production of mission-critical products.

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures.

• Maintain a strong focus on workmanship, quality, and repeatability to ensure products meet customer and mission requirements.

• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing standards and procedures.

• Perform light lifting of assemblies weighing up to 30 lbs.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent years of work experience.

• 2+ years of related experience in electromechanical assembly.

• Soldering experience with J-STD endorsement.

• Experience working from engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and written or verbal technical guidance.

• Ability to distinguish component colors and wiring (color vision required).

Desired Skills

• Basic computer skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of productivity without compromising quality or workmanship.

• Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes.

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (clearances are granted to U.S. citizens).

Expected Compensation: The expected compensation range for this role is

$44,616.00 - $55,744.00.

Please note this represents the expected range. Ultra Maritime considers multiple factors when determining final compensation, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, a candidate's relevant experience and education, certifications and training, as well as current business and market conditions.
