Job description

OSW Equipment & Repair, LLC, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, is the largest truck body and trailer manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest.  OSW’s main facility is located in the Maltby area in Snohomish County.  OSW and has been in business for over 20 years and has branches in Edmonton, Canada and Tempe, Arizona.

As an Assembly Technician on our growing team, you are contributing to the success of the company by safely and efficiently troubleshooting and installing mechanical items on dump trucks and trailers.  If you are bright, highly motivated, and a team player we encourage you to apply! 

Assembly Technician I Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drill holes in steel frames
  • Bolt on parts
  • Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses
  • Zip tie wires
  • Take accurate measurements
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
  •  Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
  •  Ability to learn and work in a team environment.
  •  Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements.
  • Ability to Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) is preferred.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED or Equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs including pump valves, cylinders, etc.
  • Must be comfortable with electrical trouble shooting.
  • Must have wrenching experience.
  • Must be comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder, air tools etc.
  • Must be eager to learn, have a good work ethic, and be able to accept responsibility for work performed.
  • Leadership skills desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Additional Job Information:

  • Wage Expectations: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
  • Pay: This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
  • Typical Schedule: Four (4) Ten (10) hour days M-F, Overtime may be available on your 5th day of the week and/or Saturdays
  • Location: On Site – 20812 Broadway Ave; Snohomish, WA 98296
  • Travel: Very minimal to none
