Job description

Windrock Powersports is seeking a skilled and dependable Powersports Mechanic to join our growing team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and assembling powersports vehicles and equipment while assisting with parts identification, ordering, and customer support. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance services for customers whose vehicles have sustained damage during trail or mountain operation
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and accurately assess repair requirements to restore vehicles to proper operating condition
  • Test drive and evaluate vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation
  • Identify and recommend replacement parts and accessories
  • Ensure all repair orders are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and parts diagrams.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with parts inventory systems and software preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellent service.
  • Availability to work weekends and select holidays as required.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass random drug screenings in accordance with company policy.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Powersports, automotive, small engine repair experience
  • Mechanic certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Powersports manufacturer certifications
  • Experience with various brands of offroad vehicles
  • Welding and fabrication experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
