Job description

Amcor, Inc. is currently seeking Class A CDL Drivers. We are looking for commercial driver to load, deliver, unload and pickup equipment and supplies from various local jobsites. Must be a dependable, responsible person with a positive attitude that is willing to help a growing company. Must have current Hazmat endorsement and adhere to all DOT regulations.

Description:

CDL Driver is responsible for transporting different types of goods from distribution centers to customer locations using a truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip. Driver must also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport hazardous cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours. Reports to Logistics Manager.

Duties:

To include but are not limited to:

· Be able to perform pre and post trip inspections of vehicles, trailers and equipment

· Safe and timely pick up and drop off of equipment.

· Must check all paperwork for accuracy

· Must be able to communicate with customers for delivery and pickup coordination

· Must be able to work nights and weekends on-call periodically SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Valid Georgia driver’s license with current hazmat endorsement

· Must be able to pass background check, hold a TWIC card, and pass a drug screen

· Must be detail oriented and well organized

· Effective and professional communication skills

· Dependable and punctual

· Professional appearance

· Work in warehouse operate forklift

CDL Driver will be assigned equipment and will be responsible for damages if negligence is found.

CDL Driver must perform many of the following tasks:

• Delivering freight.
• Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers.
• Assisting workers in loading and unloading trucks.
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
• Driving different types of trucks.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

· Must have a Class A CDL and provide MVR

· Must have Tank and Hazmat endorsement or capable of acquiring Hazmat in a specified time frame.

. Capable of acquiring TWIC access in a specified time frame

· No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years

** Previous commercial Class A tractor trailer driving experience is required. All previous experience will be verified before you are offered the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,150.00 - $1,350.00 per week , This amount will fluctuate due to logistics needs
