Job description

Role Overview

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems, equipment, and fixtures, including lighting, plumbing, and basic carpentry. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address safety hazards, maintenance needs, and cleanliness standards. May travel to other locations occasionally for support or be available evenings and weekends.
  • Nature of work may include performing plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs. Responsible for major cleaning projects such as: painting (interior and exterior), burnishing floors, stripping and waxing floors, rug and carpet cleaning.
  • Monitor building-related mechanical systems. Handle work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Attend developmental trainings as requested. Handle work orders in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. Communicate with and collaborate with onsite property management and property staff to ensure all maintenance needs are met within assigned facility. Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed and report major repair needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assists with seasonal maintenance on the property with snow and Ice removal, spreading salt, and various landscaping duties. Work collaboratively with other employees.
  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Job duties may need to be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to reach in all directions and climb a ladder, when needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Preferred Associate's Degree (AA) 5+ years relevant experience
