This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability. This position is eligible for full benefits (medical, dental, and vision) discounted downtown parking, free employee meals, DailyPay, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.
SUMMARY
Greet and assist all guests who enter the valet motor lobby and/or main lobby. Ensure guest's satisfaction by caring for guests' luggage/items and parking guest's vehicles. As a guest service ambassador you will unload, deliver, or load luggage upon guest arrival and departure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude, at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Create a professional and welcoming atmosphere by posting up with proper posture, in the motor lobby, in view of our guests
• Pause and engage each guest entering and exiting the hotel and create relationships and connect with them by being curious and knowledgeable about their interest
• Create a lasting impression by extending a genuine welcome and a gracious goodbye to each guest, always using their name
• Using proper verbiage with guests and follow all JW Marriott and AHC policies, procedures and standards
• Pull and park cars swiftly while also maintaining a cautious speed. Show guests you value their time by running to and from each car
• Assist guests with their luggage. Loading, unloading, and escorting them to their room
• Providing an engaging orientation of the hotel and the surrounding area
• Ensure that the entire hotel entrance area is clean, organized and guest ready at all times
• Providing consistent communication with other valets, your doorman and other departments, to ensure the guest's experience timely and flawless service
• Complete daily tasks on the shift checklist accurately
• Meet with and pass along any information pertinent to the next shift
• Ensure complete and proper uniform, including name tag and griffin pin, are worn and in perfect condition each day. Arrive at work clean shaven and with a professional looking haircut
• Extensive Knowledge of the area and directions to many local destinations
• Aware and able to expedite hotel safety and security procedures
• Have knowledge of the property, hotel, staff, and services (including hours of operation)
• Calls taxi for guests
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Must be able to run, walk, and stand for upwards of 8 hours.
• Previous customer service experience.
