Key responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and document inspections, preventive/predictive work, corrective repairs, and equipment/tooling qualifications using SAP PM.

  • Maintain and repair production equipment, tooling, and facility infrastructure, including installation, assembly, modification, and commissioning.

  • Coordinate and supervise third-party vendors and contractors, verify scope, safety, and workmanship.

Job description

Make Renewable Uptime Your Craft

As a Plant Reliability Maintenance Technician, you’ll help turn 100% renewable energy from vision to reality. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and partnering closely with operations, you’ll use SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) to plan, execute, and document the work that keeps production moving with minimal downtime.

A Day in the Life

You start by reviewing SAP PM notifications and work orders, aligning priorities with the Maintenance Manager. You kit parts and tooling, then move from preventive inspections to corrective repairs—sometimes commissioning a newly installed system, other times qualifying critical tooling. When vendors arrive, you coordinate their tasks and verify quality. Throughout the day, you track spares and consumables in SAP, update schedules, and close out documentation so the team has a clear, real-time picture of plant health.

What You’ll Own
  • Plan, schedule, and complete inspections, preventive/predictive work, corrective repairs, and equipment/tooling qualifications.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment, tooling, and facility infrastructure, including installation, assembly, modification, and commissioning.
  • Administer SAP PM: create/close work orders, maintain maintenance plans, record labor and materials, and generate reports.
  • Manage consumables, spare parts, and tooling—purchasing, receiving, replacements, and all related SAP transactions.
  • Coordinate and supervise third‑party vendors and contractors; verify scope, safety, and workmanship.
  • Support maintenance planning and prioritization to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
What You Bring
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent (required).
  • 1 year in the maintenance field or an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology (required).
  • 3–5 years in the maintenance field (preferred).
  • Vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or electro‑mechanical disciplines (preferred).
  • Proficiency with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM); ERP/SAP experience preferred.
  • User‑level knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Skillful, safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Self‑starter mindset—takes ownership, initiates tasks, and works well both independently and with a team in a structured environment.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work at heights on occasion.
  • Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality Systems is a plus.
Safety First. Always.

Nordex places the highest priority on safe operations. You demonstrate deep knowledge of safety protocols, follow company policies and regulations, identify and mitigate hazards, and communicate clearly to maintain a safe workspace. You use appropriate PPE at all times—eye and hearing protection, steel‑toe boots, and hard hats—and avoid loose clothing or jewelry. Fluency in spoken and written English enables you to follow safety instructions and collaborate effectively with supervisors and teammates.
