Employment Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)
Location: Beltsville, MD 20705
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9/80 Work Schedule
Pay Rate: $39.43 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting advanced aerospace and space programs by building, processing, and testing critical assemblies and subassemblies. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Working alongside talented engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, you'll contribute directly to projects that push the boundaries of innovation and technology.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Build, assemble, process, and test subassemblies and assemblies
  • Follow established manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Read and interpret technical documents, including:
    • Engineering drawings
    • Blueprints
    • Diagrams
    • Specifications
    • Manufacturer manuals
  • Perform inspections and verify work meets quality standards
  • Use precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment
  • Accurately record manufacturing activities and test results
  • Identify and communicate nonconformances to management and quality assurance teams
  • Safely handle hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
  • Support production schedules and operational goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of additional education and/or related manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, procedures, and technical drawings with a high degree of accuracy
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and process compliance
  • Ability to communicate manufacturing issues and nonconformances effectively
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
