Job description

AristaCare at Cedar Oaks is hiring a Weekend Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team on weekend shifts. Our 230-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in South Plainfield, NJ provides post-acute rehab, long-term care, and memory care, and we need a strong Nursing Supervisor who knows the skilled nursing world and can run the building with confidence when the weekend comes around.

This Nursing Supervisor position requires prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting — that experience is a must. If you've worked as a Nursing Supervisor or Unit Manager in a nursing home and you're a Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a steady weekend leadership role, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the nursing leader on duty during weekend shifts, overseeing all clinical operations in the facility

  • Supervise and support Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on the floor

  • Respond to clinical concerns, resident changes in condition, and family questions as the go-to decision-maker in the building

  • Ensure care is delivered according to care plans, facility policy, and state and federal regulations

  • Communicate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and leadership team on weekend events and follow-ups

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current New Jersey license

  • Prior experience as a Nursing Supervisor or Unit Manager

  • Skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) experience is required
