Job description

Job Title: Machine Programmer II Location: Huntsville, AL Type: Contract / On-Site Compensation: $54 per hour

Responsibilities โ€ข Create NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis mills, multi-axis lathes, and VTLs to ensure engineering requirements are met โ€ข Develop machining strategies to translate design data into machined hardware โ€ข Develop and manage setup sheets โ€ข Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists โ€ข Design custom tools and fixtures as needed โ€ข Provide DFM/DFMA feedback โ€ข Drive process improvements in both machining operations and administrative workflows โ€ข Conduct product acceptance in accordance with company policy โ€ข Maintain configuration control on files and job records โ€ข Work safely within an industrial environment

Requirements โ€ข Siemens NX / Unigraphics โ€ข Vericut or equivalent program verification software โ€ข Minimum 4 years of NC programming experience โ€ข Strong blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 โ€ข Experience with tool and fixture design โ€ข Setup sheet creation and management โ€ข Cutter selection and custom cutter design as needed โ€ข Feed and speed calculations โ€ข Experience machining Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys โ€ข Familiarity with DFMA principles โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills โ€ข Proficient with precision hand tools and personal computers โ€ข Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines โ€ข Ability to build trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture โ€ข Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
