Position Summary:

Operating automated vision inspection machines to ensure quality of the components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tends or operates automated vision inspection machines according to defined procedures.
  • Observes automated vision inspection machines to ensure quality and conformity to product specifications.
  • Adjusts machine components and settings according to part/process requirements.
  • Ensures calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
  • Performs product identification and traceability activities, as required.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Works with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions.
  • Follows all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Works extended hours, overtime, or weekends as needed.
  • This list is not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Must Have:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must have 20/20 correctable vision to perform inspection activities.
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Capable of adding, subtracting, multiplying and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
  • Basic understanding of keyboard, monitor and hard drive, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.)

Good to have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in quality inspection/machine operation preferred.
