The base salary range for this position is $150,200 to $188,700 (USD), exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits. JOB DESCRIPTION MissionEdge Technologies is seeking a talented Data Scientist to develop innovative analytics and machine learning solutions that support mission-critical intelligence operations. In this role, you will analyze complex datasets, build and optimize predictive models, identify patterns and anomalies, and transform data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with analysts, software developers, and fellow data scientists to deploy scalable solutions, improve model performance, and ensure data quality. Responsibilities also include integrating data from diverse sources, documenting processes and models, communicating findings to stakeholders, and staying current with emerging data science technologies and best practices. The ideal candidate has experience with statistics, machine learning, data engineering, and analytical problem-solving, along with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Minimum Required Qualifications: * Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
* Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 8 years of experience; an advanced degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience
* Proficient in Python
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with end-to-end workflows/projects
* 3+ years of Defensive Cyber Operations experience
* 3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation Desired/Preferred Skills: * Master's degree in relevant field and 4 years of experience
* Demonstrated expertise with R or Python, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets
* Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)
* Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environments
* A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
* Jupyter Notebooks, Network Analysis Tools Working Conditions: Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. Employees are required to notify management in advance of any plans to relocate out of state to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations. Physical Requirements: May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
