IT Asset & Logistics Specialist (Data Center Operations)

Atlanta, GA

One of our Fortune 500 clients is seeking bright, motivated, and hardworking individuals to fill Data Center Logistics Specialist positions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Safety & Operational Excellence.

Data Center Logistics Specialists monitor inventory levels to ensure appropriate stock is maintained to support data center build, deployment, maintenance, and hardware repair activities. They receive and inventory server, network, and infrastructure components, maintain inventory accuracy, and distribute parts to Data Center Technicians and Engineers as needed. They are also responsible for loading and unloading shipments and transporting critical hardware assets between locations.

This position involves frequent lifting of materials and technology equipment. Data Center Logistics Specialists are required to maintain precise records of all inventory and hardware assets moving into and out of the data center environment. They must also maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces while supporting a highly secure and operationally critical infrastructure environment. Weekend shift work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all billing associated with the infrastructure inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing.
  • Assemble, label, and coordinate shipment of technology equipment, hardware components, and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups supporting data center operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and asset tracking for hardware entering and leaving the facility.
  • Support Data Center Technicians and Engineers by ensuring hardware availability for deployment, maintenance, and break-fix activities.
  • Understand all aspects of data center operations, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain high-quality standards, and operate powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker) as needed
