Job description

INCUMBENTS ONLY Locations: Altus AFB, Charleston AFB, and McChord AFB
  • Provides regional oversight of C-17 Training System logistics operations.
  • Coordinates logistics activities across assigned locations and supports local logistics managers and specialists.
  • Ensures consistent inventory, asset management, and material control processes across the region.
  • Monitors regional inventory, asset status, replenishment, repair, replacement, and disposition requirements.
  • Identifies regional supportability issues, trends, and resource requirements.
  • Reviews logistics data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinates with program management, maintenance, engineering, and customer representatives on regional logistics requirements.
  • Supports sustainment, obsolescence, and concurrency activities across assigned locations.
  • Oversees regional logistics audits, reporting, CDRLs, and other required deliverables.
  • Provides guidance, training, and technical support to logistics personnel.
  • Assists with staffing, resource planning, and development of regional logistics processes.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable contract, company, and customer requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Candidate must currently be sitting in the position to be considered for this role.
  • Candidate must currently be performing the duties and responsibilities associated with the position.
  • Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field with 7 years of related logistics experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience totaling a minimum of 10 years.
  • Previous experience leading logistics operations across multiple locations or programs preferred.
  • Previous management or lead experience required.
  • Experience with inventory, asset, parts, or maintenance data management platforms preferred.
  • Experience with logistics analytics, trend analysis, sustainment, obsolescence, and concurrency preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management required.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Must be willing to travel between assigned locations as required.
  • Candidate must meet all applicable position, program, and site requirements.
