Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Beautiful Colorado Springs, CO
Join a dedicated team at a premier hospital facility in Colorado Springs, where you'll become an integral part of a vibrant medical community. The facility is seeking 2-3 experienced locum anesthesiologists to provide essential care to patients while working in a supportive environment. Enjoy the stunning natural scenery and outdoor adventures that Colorado Springs has to offer, along with a collaborative and skilled healthcare team.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide anesthesia care primarily to adult patients, with some trauma cases.
  • Supervise and work alongside CRNAs during procedures.
  • Conduct general and regional anesthesia, including spinal and epidural anesthesia.
  • Manage acute pain and perform vital procedures such as central and arterial line placements.
  • Participate in managing complex surgical cases including neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort during anesthesia administration.
  • Document and prepare anesthesia charts as required.
  • Collaborate with other anesthesiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure top-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Required, no exceptions for Board Eligible).
  • Two years of experience in a Trauma Level I facility (Required).
  • Experience with pediatric patients required.
  • Proven ability to perform central lines and open vascular procedures.
  • Clean malpractice history and no background issues preferred.
  • Ability to cover multiple weekends per month (Required).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Active Colorado Medical License or Active IMLC License (Highly Preferred).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (Required).
  • Must upload a Self-Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days at the time of presentation (Required).
