Position Summary:The Seattle Kraken are excited to team up with a personable, creative, detail-obsessed, storyteller to help elevate and champion the Seattle Kraken Entertainment Experience & Promotions (SKEEP) team. By joining the team as our in-arena host on game nights, this teammate will be a major part of the atmosphere inside Climate Pledge Arena for Kraken games.
This integral role is open to humans of all genders, identities, orientations, and races, reflecting the incredibly diverse and dynamic nature of our region. We are looking for an individual who can relate to others, champion storytelling, are team-minded and can embody the organizational values of Seattle Kraken Hockey. This teammate needs to be a multi-level communicator; able to interact at all levels of our organization and fan base.
Our hosts will be game day leaders for promotions and entertainment surrounding Seattle Kraken Hockey inside and outside of Climate Pledge Arena. This role will produce their position and elevate all narratives and characters of the fan experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Co-host all Seattle Kraken home games and other events as needed
  • On-camera hosting duties include: in-game promotions, intermissions, plaza parties, interviews, and special events
  • Create and build an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm for our fan base
  • Memorizing game night script copy
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the Kraken home schedule

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Highly collaborative skill set that will activate a team of storytellers and generate content
  • Prior experience hosting large-scale public events is strongly preferred
  • Strong on-camera presence
  • Supportive voice with the experience to handle intense, live-event situations
  • Ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts
  • Knowledge of NHL and Seattle Kraken hockey
  • Demonstrated passion for performance...stage, screen, live theater, improv comedy. You must have the spirit of a performer in order to succeed in this role

Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-50 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs, exposure to loud noises and extreme temperatures

Total Rewards Package:
  • Compensation:
    • In accordance with Washington's Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for this position is $35/hr - $42.50/hr per game. Actual pay will depend on employee's experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
    • This role is classified as part-time, non-exempt (hourly).
    • Overtime eligibility.
