  • Assisting with media relations and press releases
  • Contributing to social media planning and content creation
  • Supporting fundraising and community events through marketing, logistics, scripts, and event execution
  • Capturing photos and videos that help document and share the impact of Lighthouse programs, events, and community engagement efforts.
  • Assisting with website updates and content management
  • Ensuring consistency in Lighthouse's brand voice and messaging across all communications

The ideal candidate is:

  • An exceptional writer and storyteller
  • Comfortable building relationships across programs and interacting with youth, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Creative, collaborative, and adaptable
  • Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy
  • Passionate about mission-driven work and community impact

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of two years of marketing, communications, public relations, or related experience

Preferred

  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms
  • Experience writing for multiple audiences and communication channels
  • Experience interviewing sources and developing human-interest stories
  • Basic photography and videography skills
