This position plays a vital role in ensuring students, faculty, and staff have access to the resources, services, and support they need to succeed. As a key member of our Circulation and User Services team, you will provide exceptional customer service, oversee student employees, maintain physical collections, and help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all library users.

What You'll Do Customer Service & Library Operations Provide on-site operational support during evening and weekend library hours. Staff the circulation desk and serve as a primary point of contact for library patrons.

Assist users with circulation services, printing, scanning, study room reservations, library resources, course reserves, and general questions. Resolve routine and non-routine patron concerns while exercising sound judgment and professionalism. Support a welcoming, inclusive, and customer-focused environment.

Follow library and campus safety policies and emergency procedures. Student Employee Supervision Partner with the User Services Manager to recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate student employees. Provide day-to-day guidance and support to front desk student assistants.

Monitor service quality and help ensure consistent desk coverage. Step in to provide circulation desk coverage when staffing gaps occur. Collections & Stacks Maintenance Coordinate ongoing maintenance of the library's physical collections.

Conduct shelf reading and organize projects to ensure collection accuracy and accessibility. Search for missing materials and assist with troubleshooting collection issues. Assign and monitor collection-related tasks completed by student employees.
