Wash Operations Mechanic

Position Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and assist with the completion of all major maintenance/repairs for all locations.
  • Track and plan all preventative maintenance for all locations.
  • Provide teams with on call support every day of the week.
  • Respond quickly to all wash down situations rather instructions over the phone or showing up to help on site.
  • Manage monthly maintenance on all pumps and equipment.
  • Assist in the ordering of proper equipment for each site
  • Communicate with all site teams to see if they have noticed any issues that was not detected by Wash Ops Mechanic.
  • Ensure fall maintenance is completed for each site.
  • Monitor wash quality and detergent use for each site and manage monthly volumetrics.
  • Help train wash technicians on regular maintenance and emergency maintenance situations.
  • Ensure completion of weekly equipment audits.
  • Follow safety guidelines.
  • Train and uphold safety guidelines.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years of mechanical maintenance experience
  • Previous car wash industry maintenance experience
  • Plumbing experience
  • Electrical experience
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Views customer care as high priority; exhibits a positive can-do attitude
  • Displays a strong initiative and drive to identify gaps and fill them

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is full time. On average the Team Member will work 45 to 55 hours a week. Could possibly work on a weekend or respond to phone calls or emails in the evening.This position has an on call weekend rotation.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member must be able to:
  • Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions
  • Drive between company locations as needed while on job
  • Frequently stand and work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking

  • Work with heavy and technical equipment, lift 50 - 70 lbs, go up heights on ladder
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as; calculator, copy machine and printer
  • Able to effectively communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information
  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers
  • Tolerate vibrating tools and louder than normal work environment at times

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day. Occasional travel to out of state and in state franchise locations. Mileage reimbursement for travel between sites.
