Job description

Irrigation Technician

Angelo's Landscape Group is looking for responsible and eager individuals who can perform irrigation activities, including new installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of automatic irrigation systems. Our company provides services to Baton Rouge and surrounding cities in South Louisiana. Our irrigation teams are committed to delivering high-quality work on commercial and residential properties that make a visible difference in the communities and to our clients.

Job Functions:

The following tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation of new irrigation systems
  • Troubleshooting existing irrigation systems
  • Repairing broken components of existing systems
  • Maintaining & adjusting existing systems

Required Skills and Abilities for the Job:

  • Possess a valid & current Drivers License
  • Work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Capability of learning quickly with ease.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.

Compensation:

This position is paid an hourly payrate and, at the discretion of the Employer, may include bonuses and/or extra compensation based on performance of the employee. Pay is competitive to the industry's standard.

Hours of Work:

  • 40+ hours per week (Monday - Friday) and may include Saturdays.

  • Overtime work may be offered, but not mandated.

Education and Experience:

  • 5-7 years of professional experience working with Automatic Irrigation Systems is Required
  • Licensed Landscape Irrigation Contractor is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Loading and unloading heavy equipment.
  • Bending and squatting.
  • Agility is essential.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
