Irving Forest Products is seeking qualified Industrial Electricians to join our team at North America's largest Eastern White Pine sawmill - a modern world-class facility backed by strong ownership committed to innovation and employee development. Work alongside a skilled team of electricians, engineers and E&I professionals in a dynamic industrial environment.

  • Education Required: Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or an equivalent apprenticeship
  • Years of Experience Preferred:
    • 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with PLCs and VFDs is an asset
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift, including weekends with the opportunity of a fixed day or night shift
  • Previous sawmill experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain and optimize electrical systems to ensure equipment efficiency.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance. 
  • Troubleshoot electrical motors, VFDs and Soft Starts and PLC systems.
  • Install and commission electrical components (motor starters, conduit runs and Motor Control Centers).
  • Understanding Ethernet communication and wiring standards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from operations.
