Pay rate is $35 per hour W2

  The Laboratory Technician II is responsible for providing accurate results that will become binding documents to our customers on the specifications of the product(s) they are purchasing.  The laboratory technician is responsible for the correct use of the sensitive laboratory equipment to prevent damage.

  The Laboratory Technician II is responsible for managing solid waste for the site to include classification, storage and shipments.

Desirable :

  Minimum of 2 years of accredited training in chemistry and/or laboratory techniques.

  4-year degree in Chemistry, Environmental or Safety to improve future advancement potential.

Required (to become a qualified laboratory technician)

  Completion of initial classroom training in environmental, safety, quality and lab methods.  Training in environmental includes management of lab wastes, emergency response plan training, spill response training, RCRA, DOT, and basic HAZCOM instructions. 

Completion of initial on-the-job training by a qualified laboratory technician or supervisor.

Qualifications

Required:

  Passing of a pre-employment physical.

  High School Diploma.

  Good communication skills.
