Laborer – Landfill Operations
Location: Pembroke Pines, FL
Pay: $16/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overview
We’re looking for a dependable Laborer to support daily operations at a landfill facility in Pembroke Pines. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working outdoors, can handle physical tasks, and takes safety seriously.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily landfill operations, including waste handling and site maintenance
  • Direct traffic flow and guide customers to appropriate dumping areas
  • Remove debris, litter, and windblown waste from active and inactive areas
  • Perform general groundskeeping such as raking, shoveling, and clearing pathways
  • Operate basic hand tools and small equipment (training provided)
  • Help maintain safe working conditions by identifying hazards and following safety protocols
  • Support heavy equipment operators by clearing work areas and communicating site needs
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness around scales, tipping areas, and public dropoff zones
  • Assist with covering waste, compacting materials, and other tasks as assigned
