Joiner Micro Lab is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic research and laboratory team. In this vital role, you will support laboratory operations by assisting with water and wastewater analysis, preparation of laboratory materials, sample processing, report preparation, and shipment of samples to contract laboratories. Accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and adherence to established laboratory procedures are essential to this position.

Laboratory Responsibilities

  • Analyze water and wastewater samples.
  • Prepare media and reagents for laboratory analyses.
  • Enter sample data accurately and prepare laboratory reports.
  • Process, organize, and file laboratory reports.
  • Prepare water sample bottles and collection materials.
  • Organize and prepare samples for shipment to contract laboratories.
  • Perform required quality control (QC) procedures and maintain accurate QC records.
  • Wash, clean, and properly store laboratory glassware.

Client Communication

  • Communicate with clients clearly and professionally regarding general samples status, testing inquiries, or routine laboratory information.
  • Provide courteous, timely, and effective customer service across all verbal and written interactions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ability to follow established laboratory procedures and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate laboratory work.
  • Ability to accurately enter sample information and maintain laboratory records.
