If you have prior experience working in a fast-paced, kitchen production environment and want to work around unique and high quality products, then this Full-Time Kitchen Assistant role may be a great fit for you!
 A local craft confectionery company that makes artisanal, infused candies is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Assistant for their production facility ahead of their busy season. You are a good fit for this role if you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting.
 Full-Time Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize all food prep areas and equipment.
  • Assist in preparation of food products.
  • Tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Measuring and scaling candy ingredients
  • Cutting up candied fruit to place in molds
  • Pouring and scraping hot candy mixture into molds
  • Work with kitchen team to meet company standards, food safety and Liquor & Cannabis Board compliance.
 
Full-Time Kitchen Assistant Requirements:
  • Prior experience in food production or commercial kitchen setting (Confectionery production or baking experience in a busy kitchen is a huge plus)
  • Able to keep up with fast & repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable lifting 50lbs regularly.
  • Must have a current valid WA Food Worker Card.
 
Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs: 8a-6pm and Fri 7a-5pm
  • 36 hours per week
 
Pay: $21.30-$24.00/hour
