About Vertiv
At Vertiv, we design, build, and service critical infrastructure that enables vital applications for data centers, communication networks, and industrial facilities. Our Pelzer, SC site is growing, and we are seeking a skilled Electrician to support our operations by ensuring electrical systems and equipment are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and company standards.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete work accurately.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility electrical systems to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational efficiency.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety procedures at all times.
Document maintenance, repair activities, and parts usage in maintenance management systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades to electrical systems or processes.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
Licensed Electrician in South Carolina or ability to obtain license preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience.
Strong knowledge of NEC codes, electrical safety standards, and industrial equipment.
Proficiency in using electrical test instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed to support operations.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to manufacturing environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and machinery.
