Janitor

Janitors are responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of an assigned area. The assigned area could be a building, hospital, warehouse, shopping mall or other facility. Exact tasks of janitorial are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties as assigned by a Supervisor as mentioned below.

Essential Functions:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice and may include all or some of the physical demands listed.

Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequently lift and/ or moving a minimum of 50 lbs. of office and facilities equipment and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met and by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally or regularly required to perform the following repetitive movements:

  • Sitting, walking, standing, bending (neck), bending waist), squatting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, twisting (neck), twisting (waist), and talking or hearing.
  • Repetitive use of hands to finger, arms (left and right) for:
