Job description

Position Description: 

The Inventory Lead assists Management with day-to-day operations, performs daily inventory accuracies, and
ensures that teams members adhere to the company/mixing center policies and procedures. This role supports
Management in achieving optimal productivity by delegating tasks to assigned team members while maintaining
levels of quality, accuracy of inventory, and safety of associates. This role also provides feedback to Management
as to team members' job performance
NIGHT SHIFT
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison between team members and Management to facilitate effective communication and timely resolution of team issues.
  • Assist with administering the safety program set forth by American Tire Distributors to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with Supervisor/Manager on a daily basis to discuss goal attainment, inventory levels, and to ensure timelines are being met.
  • Compile process, accuracy, and production reports associated with daily goals; communicate findings to the inventory supervisor/manager.
  • Ensure all team members have the necessary resources to complete assigned tasks and are operating at optimum levels throughout the shift in support of leadership team objectives.
  • Provide recommendations on process improvement and may assist in implementation.
  • Research inventory discrepancies when a product shortage is confirmed; locates missing product and replenishes the product shortage accordingly.
  • Review daily cycle counts to ensure quantities of products (tires, wheels, accessories, etc.) are accurately reflected on the system quantity inventory software.
  • Train and cross-train new and existing team members.
  • Utilize inventory system daily to review and determine which storage locations need to have the physical products counted to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Work closely with Management to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the inventory to achieve an absolute inventory variance in compliance with ATD standards.

Qualifications
