About the Role:

Maverick Power is looking for a detail-orientated individual to join our team as an Inventory Lead. The Inventory Lead responsibilities include counting and balancing merchandise, making lists of products in stock. You will also identify any discrepancies or losses at the end of business operations each week so they can be prevented from happening again.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment and supplies as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits
  • Operates forklift truck when necessary
  • Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures
  • Maintaining inventory storage space in the storeโ€™s warehouse
  • Training staff in stocking procedures and product dating methods
  • Planning warehouse space usage
  • Assisting Procurement on placing inventory restock orders
  • Communicating with management about any inventory issues
  • Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment
  • Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years transferable experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift operator certification preferred, not required
  • Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, the purchasing department, and outside vendors
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Proficient keyboarding skills
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
