Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 1 year IR experience and prior travel experience required.
Job Details
• Interventional Radiology unit with 4 procedure rooms and an average daily census of 25,
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics,
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM,
• Weekend availability required for call only,
• On-call responsibility of approximately 1 in 4,
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed,
• Epic EMR required, with use of Pyxis and SBAR systems,
• Uses fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and GE Innova IGS, Philips, and Siemens imaging equipment,
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required,
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted,
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required,
• ARRT (VI) certification preferred,
• Trauma Level II experience preferred,
• Experience with venous access, central line and PICC care and maintenance,
• Skilled in genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, vascular, and neurological interventional procedures,
• Experience with angiography, angioplasty, embolization, stent placements, and thrombectomy/thrombolysis,
• Proficient with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose),
• Epic charting experience required,
• License required if applicable,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulation, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field,
• Maintains equipment, stocks supplies, and manages inventory,
• Follows infection control and isolation precaution protocols, including proper PPE use,
• Participates in Rapid Response/Code team activities as needed,
• Utilizes PACS for imaging and documentation,
• Scrubs are provided by the facility,
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract,
• Holiday coverage required per facility policy based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment,
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
