POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is looking for an Oregon Court Certified English - Spanish Interpreter to provide professional and accurate interpretation services in courtrooms across Oregon. This position requires interpreting spoken and written communication between English and Spanish speakers in legal settings, ensuring justice and fairness through clear language mediation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide court-certified interpretation services in various legal proceedings, including hearings, trials, and other court events.
  • Maintain strict adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.
  • Accurately interpret legal terminology and proceedings between English and Spanish in real time.
  • Prepare for assignments by reviewing case materials and becoming familiar with relevant legal vocabulary.
  • Collaborate with court personnel and attorneys professionally and courteously.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and best practices in court interpretation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal communication skills.
