Position Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, security, and support of the organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for the administration and support of server infrastructure, Microsoft 365 services, virtualization, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, endpoint management, backup and disaster recovery, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Working under the direction of the IT Manager, the Systems Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of technology systems that support patient care, business operations, regulatory compliance, and organizational objectives.
Systems Administration
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments.

  • Manage Active Directory, user accounts, security groups, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services.

  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Support Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure.

  • Monitor server performance, system health, storage utilization, operating system updates, patch management, backups, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Network Administration
  • Configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls and managed network switches.

  • Support LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless networking, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and Internet connectivity.

  • Maintain network documentation, configuration backups, firmware updates, and network diagrams.

Endpoint Administration
  • Deploy, configure, and support Windows workstations and laptops.

  • Administer endpoint management using NinjaOne RMM.

  • Support enterprise software, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and hardware lifecycle management.

Cybersecurity
  • Administer SentinelOne endpoint protection and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.

  • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity alerts, investigate incidents, perform vulnerability remediation, patch management, and assist with cybersecurity audits.

Healthcare Technology
  • Support Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and related clinical applications.

  • Support HIPAA technology requirements and clinical integrations.

Technical Support
  • Provide advanced Tier II and Tier III support for Microsoft products, networking, healthcare applications, hardware, software, printing, conferencing, and mobile devices.

Documentation, Vendor Coordination & Projects Maintain infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, disaster recovery documentation, asset inventory, and software licensing.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors.

  • Participate in infrastructure projects and recommend technology improvements under the direction of the IT Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and progressively responsible professional experience.

  • Three+ years of systems administration experience in a Microsoft enterprise environment.

  • Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, Active Directory, enterprise firewalls, managed switches, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and endpoint management.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Microsoft technical certifications and relevant networking or cybersecurity certifications.

  • Three (3) years experience supporting healthcare organizations, EHR systems, and HIPAA-regulated environments.
