Rimkus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Practice Leader to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee the fire practice division, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions in fire investigation, analysis, and consulting. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of fire science, investigation techniques, and regulatory standards, combined with strong leadership abilities to drive the team forward. You will be responsible for managing complex fire-related cases, mentoring technical staff, and collaborating with clients, legal teams, and insurance companies to deliver comprehensive fire analysis and consulting services. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a global industry leader in forensic engineering and scientific consulting, contributing to impactful fire investigations that support legal and insurance claims. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the fire practice group, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Oversee and conduct complex fire investigations, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop strategies to grow the fire practice and expand client relationships.
  • Provide technical mentorship and training to fire practice team members.
  • Collaborate with legal, insurance, and engineering professionals to support claims and litigation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in fire science.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all fire investigations.
  • Prepare and present technical findings to clients, courts, and industry forums.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in fire investigation and forensic analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire dynamics, investigation methodologies, and fire prevention codes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Professional certifications such as CFIF (Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator) or equivalent are highly desirable.
