American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Infusion position requiring chemotherapy certification and a TN or compact RN license.
Job Details
• Outpatient infusion center within an oncology group setting,
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM,
• No nights, weekends, holidays, or call required,
• Primarily based at a downtown location but must be willing to float to five additional area locations based on staffing needs,
• Cerner charting system preferred,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (TN or compact),
• BLS certification required,
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required,
• NIHSS certification may be obtained after offer,
• OCN certification preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of current infusion/chemotherapy experience required,
• Experience with IV therapy, port access and management, and central line/PICC line care,
• Experience administering chemotherapy via IV push and oral routes,
• Experience managing cytotoxic spills and monitoring chemotherapy treatment,
• Experience recognizing and managing oncologic emergencies such as anaphylaxis, extravasation, and tumor lysis syndrome,
• Experience providing psychosocial care and symptom management for oncology patients,
Additional Information
• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient oncology infusion setting, including chemotherapy administration and port/line management,
• Care for patients with a wide range of cancer diagnoses including breast, lung, colorectal, and hematologic cancers,
• Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values and manage treatment-related side effects,
• Support patient and family education regarding treatment, symptom management, and advanced care planning,
• Time off requests during designated holiday periods will not be accommodated, though RTO can be discussed with the manager after start,
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate,
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
