About the Role:
The purpose of the Registered Nurse Clinician is to provide medically prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturdays as needed.
Service Areas: West Ashley, SC and may float to other clinics as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience/Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
  • 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving infusion therapy.
  • BLS or obtain upon hire.
  • Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
  • Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.

Essential Functions:
  • Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
  • Effectively utilize the nursing process to assess and care for patients.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in a professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate manner.
  • Provide disease and drug-specific education to patients and caregivers.
  • Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
  • Participates in on-call rotation as assigned for AIC nurses.
  • Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical/nursing practices by participating in educational in-services.
  • Accurately perform all nursing duties according to the state nurse practice act while adhering to company policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
    • accessing and maintaining central lines and PIVS
    • obtaining lab specimens
    • collecting vital signs
    • Safely administer intravenous and injectable medications as ordered by prescribing physicians
    • documenting patient care
    • responding to and accurately reporting adverse drug reactions
    • assisting with administrative duties as needed
