Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Infection Preventionist, you will collaborate with the department leader in all infection prevention related activities associated with surveillance, performance improvement, and education to ensure that the facility's patients, personnel, and visitors are protected from transmission of diseases and infection.

Every day you will assist the department in ensuring compliance with Hospital Accreditation Standards, State, and CMS regulations, and manage the daily operations of the Infection Prevention Department.

To be successful in this role, you will serve as the content expert in all infection prevention matters, identify and implement program updates based on new regulations or guidelines, and support clinical staff, performance improvement teams, and hospital committees.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelors with a focus on epidemiology or Associates in a healthcare-related field and (3) years of directly related experience

  • Certified in Infection Control (CIC) within 24 months of hire
