Your Daily Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and organize the operating room for surgical procedures
  • Maintain sterile fields and follow strict infection control measures
  • Assist surgeons and surgical assistants by handing over instruments and supplies
  • Ensure all surgical equipment is ready and functioning correctly throughout the operation
  • Keep a watchful eye on supplies and manage readiness for each surgical case
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and the rest of the surgical team
  • Document processes accurately, including maintaining precise surgical counts
Education Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
Certifications Required:
  • Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential must be maintained
  • BLS certification (or ability to acquire it within 90 days of starting)
