Reconstruction Superintendent
Company: SERVPRO of Pewaukee & Sussex
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Pewaukee, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency response as needed
Position Summary
SERVPRO is seeking an experienced Reconstruction Superintendent to oversee residential and commercial reconstruction projects resulting from fire, water, storm, and other property damage losses. This role is responsible for supervising field operations, coordinating subcontractors and crews, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining project schedules and safety standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced restoration environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for reconstruction projects
  • Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and internal construction crews
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to quality standards
  • Review project scopes, schedules, and job specifications with project managers and estimators
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections and quality control checks
  • Coordinate material deliveries, labor scheduling, and workflow sequencing
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety procedures on all jobsites
  • Communicate project progress and updates with customers, management, and office staff
  • Identify and resolve field issues, delays, and customer concerns
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, photos, and daily reports
  • Assist with punch lists, final walkthroughs, and project closeout
  • Participate in emergency response situations when needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of residential or commercial construction experience
  • Previous superintendent or construction leadership experience preferred
  • Restoration and insurance reconstruction experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Ability to read blueprints, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
Preferred Certifications
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • IICRC Certifications preferred
  • Experience with Xactimate and restoration management software preferred
  • Contractor licensing experience a plus
