Job description

Position: Housekeeping Associate

Employer: Hospitality Staffing Solutions, LLC (HSS)

Location: 350 Trolley Line Blvd., Mashantucket, CT 06338

Duration: Temporary, 10/01/2026 to 01/15/2027

Hours: The Employer will offer at least 40 hours per week. Work will be performed from Friday to Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Variable shifts, including weekends and holidays. Schedule may vary based on business needs; employees will not be required to work more than six days in a calendar week

Wage: Workers will be paid no less than $18.34 /per hour, based on experience. Overtime available as needed up to 8 hours per week at $27.51 per hour based on hourly rate

Job Description:
Follow property brand standards and checklists. Use chemicals and cleaning agents according to their labels and Safety Data Sheets. Follow lock- out and key control procedures as directed by supervisor; handle lost and-found items per policy; and comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Perform other related housekeeping tasks as assigned that are necessary for maintaining cleanliness and guest readiness of rooms and property. Maintenance is not required by Housekeepers; users are responsible only for proper operation and cleanliness. The Housekeeper Associate is responsible only for the proper operation, routine cleaning, and safe use of equipment and is not authorized or expected to perform any duties associated with SOC Code 49-9071, Maintenance and Repair Workers, General.
The workers responsibilities are limited to the routine operation and basic cleanliness of laundry equipment to support normal day to-day use, consistent with SOC Codes 37-2012 (Maids and Housekeeping Cleaners) and 51- 6011 (Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Workers). The Laundry/Housekeeping worker is responsible only for proper operation, routine cleaning, and safe use of these machines and is not authorized or expected to perform any duties associated with SOC Code 49-9071, Maintenance and Repair Workers, General. All maintenance, repair, and technical servicing of equipment remain the responsibility of qualified maintenance personnel. Load and unload commercial washers and dryers with hotel towels, washcloths, bath towels, hand towels, bathmats, sheets, twin sheets, fitted sheets, pillowcases, queen sheets, king sheets, and rags.; operate folding and finishing equipment such as CHI-Touch microprocessor, single-lane ironer/folder with CHI-Touch controls, gas-fired ironer. Fold and stack linens to stage linen carts and closets. Deliver and retrieve linens to and from hotel floors. Stock housekeeping closets and carts, and move and stage housekeeping supplies.

Qualifications:
  • No education is required.
  • 3 months of experience as a housekeeper.;
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, typically up to 8-10 hours per shift. Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling housekeeping carts and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs., and pushing or pulling carts on wheels weighing up to approximately 100 lbs. Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements as required.
