Position Summary
The Lead Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing all daily dispatch operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of products to customers. This role manages dispatch staff, optimizes routes, monitors driver performance, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards. The Lead Dispatcher plays a key role in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring exceptional customer service in alignment with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the dispatch team to ensure efficient scheduling and delivery operations.
  • Oversee daily dispatch activities, including route planning, driver assignments, and load management.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and address delays, route changes, or service issues in real time.
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT, safety, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams to meet delivery commitments.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize routes and reduce delivery costs.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivery operations, incidents, and performance reports.
  • Resolve escalated delivery or customer service issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
