PRN Schedules Available
Come join our family owned agency. Absolute Hospice, Inc., provides quality and passionate care to patients within the comfort and privacy of their home or place of residence.
The Hospice RN establishes a professional and caring relationship with our patients and families, support staff, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, facilities and other health care professionals by providing hands-on-care, on-going clinical management and education regarding hospice care.
As a Hospice RN, you will educate patients and their caregivers on their conditions and the steps needed to ensure proper recovery.
Additional responsibilities of our Hospice RN include:
  • Making initial nursing evaluation visit
  • Continually evaluating the patient's needs
  • Initiating, coordinating and revising the treatment plan
  • Rendering nursing care and performing treatments, as ordered by the physician
  • Participating in the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement process
  • Preparing accurate, orderly and timely reports and documentation
  • Adhering to all practice standards as they apply to patient care
Requirements:
  • Caring, patient and flexible teacher with excellent communication and time management abilities
  • Possess independent problem solving abilities, excellent clinical assessment skills
  • Computer literate
  • Good physical shape
  • Ability to lift/transfer patients to and from wheelchairs, if necessary
  • Associate's of Science degree in Nursing
  • Valid Ohio RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including hospice or home health experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and one year clean driving record
  • Excellent writing, communication and charting skills
