Job description

Coolmore Truck Lines is partnering with CDL A regional flatbed owner operators in Houston, TX. Drivers will be hauling general freight primarily throughout the southern states. Coolmore Truck Lines is looking for professional and qualified drivers to grow our team. When you drive with Coolmore, you're backed by real support, and a dispatch team that understands your grind.

Compensation

  • Average weekly pay: $7,500
    • 80% of load pay
  • Average weekly miles: 2,400
  • Additional pay as it applies:
    • Detention pay
    • Layover pay
    • Stop pay
  • Bonuses:
    • Referral bonus: $750 paid in 3 installments over the new drivers first 90 days
    • Clean inspection bonus: $150
    • Monthly safety bonus awarded to safest driver: $250
  • Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Home Time: Home every weekend & home every other day during week
  • Schedule: Leave out Sunday/Monday and home Friday/Saturday
  • Route: Normally 500-600 mile radius of Houston, TX
    • Loads originate inHouston TX area, go to Memphis TN/Osceola AR area, & back
  • Level of Touch: Strapping, tarping, & chaining

Equipment

  • No truck age requirement!
    • Truck must be well maintained
  • Must pass a DOT inspection at our approved vendor
    • Coolmore will cover the cost of this initial inspection

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 23years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years recent verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Must have a clean MVR & PSP without recent HOS or major moving violations
  • No DUI/DWIs in the past 5 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 150 miles of Houston, TXor be willing to operate out of Houston, TX
