Job description

StandWithUs is an international, nonpartisan Israel education organization that inspires and educates people of all ages and backgrounds, challenges misinformation, and fights antisemitism.

Position Summary

We're seeking an entry-level Production Assistant to support our video and live event A/V production across the United States. Working in office alongside our producers and editors from concept through delivery, this role plays a hands-on part in bringing our stories, events, and educational content to life for audiences worldwide. This position is suited for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working on set and behind the scenes, and passionate about helping StandWithUs tell Israel's story and fight antisemitism through compelling visual media. Along the way, the Production Assistant will build hands-on skills in project coordination, gear management, and on-site event support while gaining real experience across every stage of the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with shooting and editing video content across social media, documentary, and live event formats.
  • Set up, operate, and break down camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Support on-camera interviews, live events, and coordination with A/V vendors.
  • Maintain and organize media assets, including file naming, backup, and archive management.
  • Travel domestically and work occasional evenings and weekends, including full Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

  • Basic familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, with eagerness to learn After Effects and motion graphics.
  • Comfort with and curiosity about emerging AI tools relevant to video production workflows.
  • Some hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, or audio equipment, whether through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
  • Knowledge of and passion for Israeli history and current events.
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Must have American citizenship or a valid work visa; StandWithUs cannot sponsor work visas.
