Job Title: Registered Nurse

Description:
The position involves caring for low acuity ICU patients and high acuity telemetry patients.
Shifts are scheduled for three 12-hour days with on-call required once every six weeks.
Staff are expected to work six weekend shifts over a six-week period.
A start date is preferred within the next 3-5 weeks.
This unit provides continuous cardiac and vital sign monitoring.
RNs will manage various infusions requiring frequent titrations and close monitoring of vital signs.
Care involves working with patients who have cardiac IV infusions and require neurological assessments.
The RN's role involves independently consulting with the medical management team regarding changes in patient conditions.
Patient care is driven by RNs with support from nursing assistants.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as respiratory services and pharmacy is essential.
Special equipment and advanced procedures are utilized in this unit for patient care.
The daily census is approximately 20 patients, with staffing ratios maintained for optimal care.
Candidates should be prepared for necessary responsibilities related to patient management and charting.
