The Helpdesk Technician will provide reliable, hands-on IT support to corporate staff and property-level site teams. The ideal candidate brings 6-8 years of helpdesk/desktop support experience and an appropriate combination of formal education and industry certifications, with the ability to independently resolve day-to-day technical issues, handle occasional complex tickets, and support Vesta's core business applications.

Essential Functions:

  •  Serve as a secondary point of contact for more complex helpdesk tickets, independently troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and application issues beyond routine password resets and setup requests.
  •  Work the incoming ticket queue in Zendesk, ensuring tickets are correctly prioritized (Urgent/Routine/Low), assigned, and resolved within SLA targets.
  •  Provide end-user support for Yardi Voyager, the company's core property management platform, including login/access issues, module errors, and coordination with the Yardi support team on defects.
  •  Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online) including mailbox, permissions, and license management.
  •  Manage user account lifecycle in Active Directory / Azure AD: onboarding, offboarding, access changes, and periodic access reviews for corporate and site-level staff.
  •  Support and troubleshoot Zoom (meetings, rooms, and Zoom Phone) for daily scrums and business meetings across the organization.
  •  Image, deploy, and maintain Windows desktops/laptops and mobile devices; manage endpoints through the organization's MDM/endpoint management tooling.
  •  Troubleshoot local network, VPN, and connectivity issues at corporate and property sites, escalating to network/infrastructure teams as needed.
  •  Maintain and expand the internal knowledge base and standard operating procedures; document recurring issues and known resolutions.
  •  Coordinate with third-party vendors (Yardi, Zendesk, Microsoft, ISPs, hardware vendors) on outages, licensing, and support cases.
  •  Contribute ticket and performance data to weekly IT operations reporting.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  •  6-8 years of progressive experience in IT helpdesk, desktop support, or end-user technical support roles.
  •  Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, relevant certifications, and directly applicable work experience.
  •  One or more relevant industry certifications strongly preferred, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+; Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate; or ITIL Foundation.
  •  Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Active Directory/Azure AD in a business environment.
  •  Working knowledge of ticketing/ITSM systems (Zendesk or comparable) and ITIL-aligned incident/request management practices.
  •  Solid understanding of Windows OS support, basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN), and endpoint/mobile device management.
  •  Strong customer service orientation, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
  •  Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize and manage a high-volume ticket queue across multiple business units/sites.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  •  Prior experience supporting Yardi Voyager or another property management/real estate ERP platform.
  •  Experience in property management, real estate, or affordable housing industries.
  •  Basic scripting/automation experience (PowerShell) for routine account or device tasks.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening required.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
