Do you enjoy keeping things organized, staying ahead of demand, and ensuring customers always find what they’re looking for?

Join us as a Grocery Orderer and play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the daily operations of our Grocery Department.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Order products within established budgets and margins while accounting for seasonality, promotions, and customer demand.
  • Run and analyze movement reports to forecast product needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and reduce shrink through proactive ordering, rotation, and short-date management.
  • Receive, check, and stock products following proper guidelines for merchandising, sanitation, pricing, and rotation.
  • Communicate with counterparts at other locations to coordinate orders, minimize out-of-stocks, and maintain consistency.
  • Handle new products, price changes, and departmental compliance with Idaho food safety and sanitation laws.
  • Manage short-dated or overstocked items by placing them on appropriate sale types to minimize loss.
  • Maintain organization of work areas, floor sets, and backstock to support efficiency and accessibility.
  • Serve as a communication link between associates and management to ensure workflow consistency.
  • Assist with building and maintaining product displays and participate in quarterly inventory counts.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Strong understanding of grocery vendors, products, ordering systems, and delivery schedules.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends, forecast needs, and interpret inventory data.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to build strong vendor and coworker relationships.
  • Reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to contribute positively to team culture.
  • Self-motivation with attention to accuracy, quality, and productivity.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good judgment in handling routine issues and escalating more complex concerns when needed.
  • Calm, objective demeanor under pressure with clear, respectful communication.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and varied schedules.
EXPERIENCE
  • One year of retail experience with exposure to ordering and inventory management preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment as required by law.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role requires the ability to work in a grocery store setting with prolonged standing or sitting and occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. You must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs., operate equipment requiring repetitive hand movements and fine coordination, and communicate clearly with customers and staff. The position also requires climbing step stools or ladders, repetitive arm and hand motions, and reaching above the shoulders and horizontally while stocking or retrieving products.
