Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EXFO Tester / Data Center Technician to support fiber optic testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities within mission-critical data center environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using EXFO testing equipment, interpreting test results, and ensuring fiber infrastructure meets customer and industry standards.
This role requires frequent travel to various job sites and data centers across regional and national locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform fiber optic testing and certification using EXFO equipment, including:
OTDR testingIL/RL (Insertion Loss / Return Loss) testing
Fiber characterizationMPO testing and troubleshootingRead and interpret fiber optic schematics, splice diagrams, and network drawings.
Troubleshoot fiber connectivity and performance issues in live data center environments.
Document and maintain accurate test results, reports, and as-built records.
Ensure all testing meets customer specifications and industry standards.
Support fiber installation, commissioning, and turn-up activities.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to complete projects on schedule.
