Job description

St. Petersburg Country Club, located in St. Petersburg, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Spray Technician! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fastpaced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.  
 
The ideal candidate is someone that communicates well, is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, and is well organized. The Spray Technician is responsible for making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of Assistant superintendent and Superintendent. This will include detailed record keeping, inventory management, maintenance / calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment. When there is no larger spray applications planned for the day, the ideal candidate will spend their day spot spraying selective or non-selective herbicides.
 
Pay Rate: $20 - $23 (based on experience)
 
This position coordinates with:

  • Assistant Superintendent
Qualifications:
  • Experience working on a golf course is preferred but not required.
  • A valid State issued Driver’s License.
  • Meet all Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines.
  • Must be able to stand on their feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry items that are at most 50 pounds.
  • A pesticide license is not required but preferred.
Job Tasks / Duties: 
  • Making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
  • Detailed record keeping.
  • Inventory management.
  • Maintenance / calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment.
  • Spray selective and non-selective herbicides.
  • Perform fertilizer applications on all playing surfaces.
  • May help with other tasks on the golf course as directed by supervisor.
