Position Summary:

This is a seasonal position that is responsible for the general maintenance of the golf course.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

  • Responsible for setting up the golf course for daily and tournament use
  • Operates all equipment efficiently, including tractors and attachments
  • Applies pesticide and fertilizer applications
  • Performs bunker maintenance
  • Operates light hand equipment including weed whackers, push mowers, blowers, hand tools, etc.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs hand watering
  • Maintains, lubricates and makes minor adjustments to golf course equipment

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with the safe and efficient operation of all motorized equipment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through the company carrier

Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to receive, understand, follow and retain written and verbal instructions
  • Knowledge of pesticides and their proper application
  • Understanding of all relevant tools and equipment and their use, maintenance and repair

Training Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of irrigation systems and their repair
  • Understanding of the rules and regulations of golf

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, stand and perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
